Listening Sessions

Low-lit, music-infused community. Table church meets Tiny Desk. Where belonging and inspiration happens through attending to prophetic art, wisdom in conversation and the suffering of our neighbors.

What is a listening session?

Listening Sessions are weekly 90-minute gatherings that integrate teaching from the Jesus After Christianity podcast with real practices you can try.

What Happens:

  • Live music

  • Table questions for honest conversation

  • Teachings expand the podcast

  • Silence and contemplative space

  • Practices of solidarity and economic sharing

  • More music

  • Table conversation about what we're learning

It's not church. It's not a book club. It's a practice community.

Who’s it for?

Think underground resistance meeting meets open mic night.

Raw. Reflective. Unpolished. Sacred.

You don't perform here. You don't have to believe certain things. You just show up, listen deeply, and practice alongside others who are trying to live differently.

  • The uncomfortably Christian who see the growing gap

  • The spiritually displaced who won't go back to church

  • The deconstructing who need community beyond certainty

  • Anyone who believes another world is possible

  • People ready to practice solidarity, not just think about it

  • With church, God is the personality and everyone has something to prove.

With the Listening Sessions, God is in the practice and no one has anything to prove.
